Anti-Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week: 14 November - 18 NovembeR 2022

Anti-Bullying Week 2022 is coordinated in England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. It will take place at Woodbrook Vale School from 14th to 18th November 2022 and has the theme "Reach Out".

The week will kick off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 14th November, where adults and children are invited to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

The theme of Reach Out came about following consultation with teachers and pupils by the Anti-Bullying Alliance which coordinates Anti-Bullying Week every year in England and Wales. Teachers and children wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.

Anti-Bullying Week: 15 November - 19 NovembeR 2021

Between 15th and 19th November 2021, the students and staff at Woodbrook Vale School celebrated anti-bullying week. Throughout the week we were raising awareness of bullying and promoting this year’s theme ‘One Kind Word’ through a variety of different activities.

Staff and Students participated in the "Odd Socks" day recognising and celebrating "being different". We were very pleased to see a large number of our students and staff wearing their "Odd Socks" with pride. In 2021 80% of schools in the country took part, reaching well over 7.5 million young people.
